Field Experience for Georgia State Students

Caminar Latino welcomes Georgia State University students from psychology, social work, sociology, and related fields who are interested in gaining hands-on experience alongside Latine families impacted by domestic violence.

This student learning opportunity continues the legacy of Caminar Latino co-founder Dr. Julia Perilla, whose work at Georgia State helped shape generations of students, practitioners, and community leaders. Through this program, students can learn from Caminar Latino’s community-centered approach while supporting work rooted in community, healing, and connection.

At this time, we are unable to accommodate licensing hours for students completing counseling degrees in group facilitation roles.
